Does turning one screw adjust the resting idle?

I need my idle raised from 550 rpms to around 920 rpms. Is this done by simply turning a small screw at the top of the engine? My reason is to make the twin disk clutch not rattle in neutral. Make the vortech sound more like a jet at rest. And also make for an easier launch out of 1st. I have a 2005 G35 supercharged coupe.

Not sure what screw you are referencing but the answer is no. Its drive by wire, the ecu controls idle - you can adjust it with ecu tune... also there is a JWT mod that requires drilling a hole in the throttle plate - but typically that is to raise idle with cams (I wouldn't suggest it in your case)

I called Nissan and 2 other local mechanics today and they all said changing the idle would be a bad idea all together. That it could cause damage in other ways to the car. This is very annoying because my G35 sounds like garbage idling at 550 rpms.

Dealerships are only good for looking up part numbers..

I believe there is some leeway on the idle speed but you have to do it from the ecu. As said, it's not done mechanically

ecu only brah

...yes it is

Leeway, I have read, might bring me to 750 rpm-ish resting idle. I know I need at least 875 rpm to accomplish my goal. If not 900 rpm. I guess this is the new question I am asking now. Is a 875-900 rpm resting idle possible by changing the ecu in a 2005 G35 coupe?

I'm 99% sure the dealership is being the stealership. YES you can change the resting idle if my memory serves me correctly osiris lets you go up to 1500rpm RI. quick ecu tune.
