people that have done wiretucks themself

mods if this is in the wrong location please move. and sorry ahead of time...

i was just looking at the DIY that heist made up of how to do the main harness. and i noticed that he removed the plenums to do the wiretuck. but as i read farther into it, he pretty much took the whole front loom and moved it to the back of the motor. so my question is why does the plunum need to be removed? why cant i just take the intake tube off and then undo the loom and start moving wires up and over the plunum to be behind it and then remake the loom in the back?

Because it makes for a much less cluttered area. Also, by removing plenums you can access wires that need to be rerouted and this makes it that much easier to do so. Try it with it all on and see how far you get.

And I told you why :-)

You cannot tuck most wires if you do not have plenums off.

Yes I have. Too many things to list. Beat advice is to take your time and label EVERYTHING you disconnect.

It simply can't. You must remove them both :-)

you have to pull them off. you have to route and make the harness in a neat manner for the coils and the VTC solenoids. and for the solenoids/sensors on the timing cover if you're a revup.
