Irene vs g35

Alright So I'm from nc. I drive a 2004 g35 coupe (at) And I was called into work at 2 am. Most of the roads were flooded so detours every other light. I was driving about 35-40 mph through the city when I hit a massive puddle. I head something that sounded like a belt squeak. Was I hearing things? It happened maybe once or twice again that night and Now it squeaks when I start her up, and occasionally it "hiccups" on the start. Do I need a new belt? Which one? Do they need to be tightened? Or lubed? Any insight or advice is greatly appreciated I'm traveling to Delaware this Thursday which Is a 300 mile trip. So a quick response is even better. Thanks a ton guys, hope everyone weathered the storm ok.

ehhhh.. that sucks.

there are 2 belts... 80 bucks replaceds at tire kingdom.. and the hiccup might be that you got water someone near the intake... id take the intake off up to the throttle body, wipe the entire inside out of the tube and box, and replace the filter.

my best guess.. unless u got a sensor wet.. but i think that would of thrown a code.

hopefully you didnt suck up any water cuz then you would have a huge problem hydrolock.

belts squeaking should go away once they are completely dry, mine squealed when they got wet but as soon as they fully dried it went away. just give it time and make sure there is no water in your intake

dont take your car to the dealer to do the belts... its super easy. and i thouht belts were going to be expensive but for my Z33 they were $20 for the 2. and im guessin its the same belts.
