Potential Stillen S/C Upgrade
ok i'm planning on getting a stillen stage 3 supercharger kit for my G and i was wondering if i'm going to need any ecu upgrades (i.e re-map for boost) or any fueling upgrades as would be needed for a turbo kit upgrade or is it a bolt on and go type system...... seeing as how i live in The Bahamas i can't just take it to a shop to let them do everything and plan it out for me so any and all advice would be appreciated
Thanks in advance:biggthumpup: |
I really would not rec the stage 3 as it runs lean...i would just go stage 2 or go straight to stage 4.To be truthfull i would not rec the stillen at all as it is an overpriced hot air blower that dosent produce much power for the money spent...trust me i know.

well the stillen s/c is getting some bad reviews and after doing a little bit more research for just a few dollars more the Momentum Performance single turbo kit seems to be the most logical choice due to it's reliability and power gains on 6-8 psi (400 whp on average) and the price tag of $7600 "fully loaded" with injectors, fuel pump, re-flash package utilizing the stock ecu......... basically everything for a full bolt on kit in my eyes is a winner all around :bowrofl:

Apparently research isn't your strong point....momentum folded and the kits are no longer available.
They didn't do anything better than the other kits on the market but it was in nice boxes. Get a boosted performance kit, cheaper, easier to install and make the same power. PM 350Z T on here he sells the kits. |

@Sylvan lake V35 i noticed the kit was removed from Z1's site but it was still on the official Momentum Performance site so it's kinda hard to come to the conclusion that the kit isn't available
@dofu i'm looking for a kit that comes bolt on + plug & play (if possible) which the momentum & the greddy kit allegedly comes with from Z1 seeing as how The Bahamas customs department charges 65% duty on all car parts i don't want to purchase something only to find out that it doesn't work or causes complications with my selected turbo kit which is why i'm asking around in advance |

sounds like you got your bases covered when it comes to the installation (all this 'plug&play' talk). I'd start worrying about a tuner and buy a kit based with the software that your tuner is comfortable with. Like somebody noted above, plug and play in the FI world, simply means that it will install onto the car w/o crazy modification. Getting it tuned and to run safely, isn't included in that equation.
