Aluminum Radiators: Koyo vs. Mishimoto vs. Blackworks

Well after 8yrs, my OEM radiator is starting to crap out on me and I'm in the market for a replacement. I did a few searches, but didn't really come up with any conclusive results.... I was wondering if anyone has any personal experience with any of the above mentioned radiators for the G35 coupe.

I have read that there might be some fitment issues with the Mishimoto and Blackworks... How about the Koyo? Does that drop right in w/o any modification? Koyo requires the use of a different radiator cap that must be purchased separately, is this the case with Mishimoto and Blackworks?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is going on an 04 G35 coupe with manual tranny.

Also would like to know if any or all of these radiators are compatible with the OEM fans and shroud, or would I have to purchase one of these aftermarket as well?

Really surprised that no one has any experience with any of these radiators?

I have a Mishimoto and they definitely have quality and fitment issues. Good warranty though.

If I did it all over again, I'd probably go with a Mizu radiator. Haven't heard of any fitment issues with them yet and they are thicker than the Mishimoto. Around the same price too.

Thanks for the input. I've never heard of Mizu radiators... Do you have any links to any pics/reviews from other board members?

Don't get a mishimoto radiator. Mine did not fit at all despite being advertised that it would. I had to modify things to make it fit correctly.

The new mishimoto is much better, the koyo is very well known for quality but it was designed for the 350z not g35 so fitment is slightly diff. That was also the case with the mishimoto til they redesigned it for the G.

I talked to the mishimoto guys at sema this year, they are standup guys

I wouldn't hesitate to get the radiator from them now that I know they made adjustments for the G

I just bought my Mishimoto a few weeks ago and it still had fitment issues. Had it replaced and the replacement had fitment issues too. It is the G35 model.

really!!! thats bad news

the Koyo is designed for the 350Z - it will fit but still needs some customized fitment.

Ryan - you problem may be related to being an 03 sedan since some of those have diff designs

Koyo has a different part number for the G35 and 350Z radiators... which leads me to think they are designed specifically for each model.... I could be wrong though.

Does anyone have any personal experience with the Koyo on a G35 coupe? I haven't read of any fitment issued with them until now. I've used their OE radiators before, and they've always had perfect fitment. Never tried their aluminum "racing" ones though.

Also, does anyone else have any more information on the Mizu radiator? I wouldn't mind that, its about the same price as Koyo. As long as the quality is there...

I just had my KOYO radiator installed about 7-8 months ago. There was no fitment issues or anything what so ever!

Just had my Koyo installed 3 days ago. Top notch fitment! Tuner warned me not to get a mishimoto due to their poor fitment. Just a shame that the Koyo looks so nice but it's hidden lol

Awesome! Thanks for the feedback guys. Did you have to buy the Koyo radiator cap as well? Does any know if there are any other kinds that will fit?

Hmmmm... well the reason I ask is cuz it says you have to use a Koyo cap that is sold separately.... But if your Nismo works on the Koyo, and also works on the OEM, I don't see why the OEM cap wouldn't work?
