Engine Swap Compatibility Question
 

Hello All,

Seems like since owning my 05 G35 Sedan it's been giving me some type of issue that has now escalated into needing a new motor.

Backstory: Car has been over heating. Swapped thermo stat (no luck), realized fans aren't working. Took it to a shop and they replaced the fans but still was over heating very badly. Motor is pushing exhaust gases back thru coolant passage ways, causing it to heat up and push back out of the resevoir.

Shop is asking just about as much money as it would take to buy a new G.

Not going that route. My main question is can a vq35 from another inifiniti fit? When searching I saw some Z motors and some FX motors pop up in the comparability list. I just want to make sure before I pull the trigger on anything. I'm sure the motors will bolt up, but I want to make sure the ECU won't have any issue and I can still have my rev up motor.

2005 G35 Sedan. Manual. I might as well swap the clutch while I'm in there too.
