2007 G35 Won't Start After Sitting for 1 Year
My 2007 G35 (w/VQ35HR engine) has turned into my backup car, and I haven't needed to drive it for about 1 year while it just sat in my garage. I tried to start it the other day and the battery was dead (no surprise), so I replaced the battery and it still won't start. I had read that bad fuel could be an issue, so I syphoned everything out of the tank and filled it up with fresh fuel - still won't start. It cranks just fine so it's not the starter, and I can hear the electrical whine of the fuel pump when I turn the car on. In other cars I could check for fuel pressure by simply using a screwdriver on the pressure valve to see if fuel sprays out, but this engine doesn't appear to have a valve. Is there any way to check for fuel pressure? Or does anyone have any other suggestions or ideas?

U need to install a special adapter to check for fuel pressure on these cars.
Is your intake clean? (Mice can build nests in there over time). Are u getting spark? |
Could be the injectors are fouled/clogged from the bad gas sitting. I'd verify you have spark too.
You could try spraying some starting fluid into the intake manifold (maybe through the PCV ports) to try to get the engine to light off at all. |

Maybe a bad fuel pressure regulator, lots can go wrong yk what they say fuel air compression and spark !!
