Best mods for an AT??

What would be some good mods not over $1,000 for a 05 AT G coupe?

I would highly recommend the following three items

1) MD plenum spacer (preferrably ISO-thermal), you can search for Motordyne Engineering on google

2) Gordgee 10 grounding cables (since you have an AT, and many users have reported that their shifting performances were improved)

3) GT Spec front and back tie bars, which help increase the structual rigidity of the G.

Good luck modding =)

nothing......save your money for a turbo.......but if you really want an answer

-plenum (crawford)
-high flow cats (crawford)
-intake (injen or stillen)

or

exhaust (hks or stillen)

For around $1500 or less to spend. You could go with an SGP valve body upgrade and Edge Racing " torque converter ". Your tranny will shift smoother, faster. Your launch time will improve and probably pick-up almost a second on 1/4 mile. The other mods mentioned may or may not look good on dyno#'s or sound good, but the VB and TC upgrade will improve your overall performance on a 5AT. ..... IMO

With a $1k budget, what are you trying to accomplish for the moment? Are you planning for any additional future mods? Answering those questions will afford you better responses. I would think ahead and try to figure out how you would ultimately like your car set-up. This will yield you a better course of planning and save you a bunch of money. ;) Have fun modding. :D

Ring & Pinion = Final Drive

Central 20 and 350EVO, both make a 3.9 Final Drive for our cars, but for the 5AT owners, swapping to a stock 3.5 final drive from a 6MT Z or G will be an upgrade as well.

What it does is change the gearing so it requires less horsepower to turn it. Think of gears on a bicycle. Your accelleration will improve, but your top speed will decrease. One of the best N/A mods in my opinion, unless you like going 160mph :)

You can get them at theses places...
