Getting wires to the inside from the engine compartment. It is much easier to go from the engine compartment to the inside rather than from inside to the engine compartment.

1. Remove the plastic snap/push screws that hold on the battery cover. There should be like 6 or 8 of them, I am not sure.
2. Remove the plastic battery cover to expose the battery and fuse box.
3. Locate the plastic panel that is at the base of the windshield on the passenger side (right below the windshield wiper).
4 Remove the 2 or 3 plastic snap/push screws that connect this panel.
5. Then remove the passenger side panel from the car. The driver's side panel will remain. Be sure to disconnect the windshield wiper fluid tubes from underneath the panel before you pull the panel away from the windshield.
6. The passenger-side panel will still be connected to the driver-side panel by rubber weatherstripping. Leave it connected and just rest the panel on the engine. When removing the panel from the windshield, it will probably hit the hood bracket; just bend the tip of the panel around the bracket.
7. If you look at the uppermost section of the engine compartment, all the way up by the base of the windshield on the passenger-side corner, you'll see a rubber grommet with wires going into it.
8. Cut a small hole in the grommet and you can feed wires through.

To catch the wires coming from the grommet (engine):
1. Pull on the long slender plastic piece that connects the door sill (silver with infiniti logo) to the inside of the car. Start with one end, you may have to be a little force full.
2. Then go under the dash and remove the passenger-side kick panel, there may be a snap screw holding it on (I forgot because I am not sure if there was one or if I forgot to put it back on the first time I removed it).
3. Pull on the kick-panel firmly from one of the edges or bottom of the kick-panel. It will "pop off". You may need to be forceful.
4. You may or may not want to take off the plastic piece under the glove box. The first time I did it, I took it off, but realized it wasn't necessary afterwards. I thin kit jsut clips or slides into place.
5. If you lay on the passenger side floor and look up to the general area where you fed the wires in, you should see them. If you fed enough wires through from the engine, you should be able to just stick your hand up there and grab them without laying on the passenger floor.
6. Just pull them through.
7. You can now run the wires under the carpet or run them behind the radio. If you need them on the other side of the console (driver's side), I taped the wires to a long *** screw driver and pushed the screw driver on the underneath all the console parts to the other side and had someone grab the wires and pull them through (don't lose the screw driver).

That's it, your done. Also, if you need to find a switched power wire you can splice into either of the power wires for either of the cigarette lighters and wouldn't need to go to the battery. But if you are running wires for an amp or to engine components, then obviously, you'll need to go into the engine bay.

Then put back all the piecies. Hope this helps.

You need to re-seal the hole you cut. That boot is directly below the drain for all water coming off of the windshield and you will get water in the cabin and running down your new power wire. This is especially important for those that are planning to install components in the kick panel because they will get soaked.
