door won't close

Well my passenger door has been having some issues closeing the last few weeks, it seem it doesn't properly line up with the body or what ever, i have to pull up and semi-gently close the door to get it closed, other wise the door will open slightly and the window will start going nuts b/c of the up and down feature.

Anyone else have this problem, and wha do you guys suggest for a solution, it's out of warranty, and i'd like to do all the work myself if possible.

My old trans am would do this. It was the hinges holding the door on. They bolts were loose. Had a friend hold the door up, while I tightened, everything was ok.

Hopefully that's all it is... I know someone who had to replace the metal that attached the hinges to the car itself, because the welds were breaking loose...

Good luck !!!

probably just the bolts unless the hinges all of a sudden got bent.

That's the first time I have heard of a sagging G door.

If you car is under warranty, take it in to the dealer. Otherwise, a body shop can help.

Fixed the problem, somehow the part that catches the door got out of whack.

This is happening with my '03 coupe. The driver's side door doesn't always close completely and sometimes it takes a few tries to close. Just started happening 2 days ago.

Tried looking around, everything looks ok. Sometimes it lines up perfect, sometimes it doesn't.

So, I kinda figured out how to close it, I just push down a bit. It closes fine, but now the window won't roll up or down. And it doesn't roll down/up a bit like it used to every time I opened the door.

Update:

It started closing fine, but the window wouldn't go down. I read here that if you open your door, then hold the down window button, it would go down once you close the door. I did that and now it goes up and down fine. Hopefully it will stay like that!

My locks and windows act up sometimes when it's really hot out. But seems to work just fine during non "hot as balls" times. Florida heat for you, I guess.

That's weird! It wasn't too hot/cold out today. About 75 or so.
