Orlando Mini Meet / Fix Your Car Day @ Sen's House / Saturday 9/12/09
What: Install Day
Where: Shawn's House (Send PM to myself or Sen for address) Date: Saturday, September 12, 2009 Time: All day event, starting at 11am, lunch around 2pm Who: Anyone who has something they need to fix, and anyone who is willing to lend a helping hand! Hey everyone in the Orlando area! Shawn (aka Sen) volunteered use of his house/garage for an Install Day and then have a cookout afterward. Shawn got his camber kits which need to be installed, and I know Eldge and I still need to do our door locks. Shawn volunteered to get the food (probably burgers) and drinks and do the cooking, but I think it would be a good idea if everyone throws in $10 to help him out. We can just work on cars all day, drink beer, eat, play xbox/ps3/wii, cards, etc! (I wrecked my car every five seconds playing Grid last time but was still a lot of fun lol) ***Please bring tools!!! We will need someone to bring a breaker bar, if possible, and maybe a dremel tool*** If we have too many cars, we can park at a little park in the subdivision. RSVP list & what you're doing: 1. Shawn - Front & Rear Camber Kits 2. Ian - Helping 3. Veronica - Passenger Door Lock (tentative for now) 4. Ryan - Struts on his Civic 5. Max - ? 6. Dan - ? |

I hope you all have more than a breaker bar to install the camber kits. The fronts are more involved than the rear kits.
For the fronts, here's a DIY I made that might help. https://g35driver.com/forums/brakes-...tallation.html |
does it matter that mine did not come with these ?

^ Only if you have an SPC front and plan to install the hub spacers for extra positive camber. I didn't use them on my car.
Wratchet wrenches and a spring compressor will be your friends replacing the front a-arms. |
i may be attending aswell, prob take out my SS. and maybe do my doors as well, gotta see...
|
I have a decent amount of tools, including ratchets and sockets. Installing my springs proved to be difficult without a breaker bar, specifically. And I just grabbed a compressor from Auto Zone.

Man, why do meets/gatherings have to be on a Saturday? :( I have work every Sat. and can't get time off, but this coming Saturday I don't work until noon so I may swing by at Shawn's place early to hang out and perhaps lend a hand...
1. Shawn - Front & Rear Camber Kits 2. Ian - Helping 3. Veronica - Passenger Door Lock (tentative for now) 4. Ryan - Struts on his Civic 5. Max - ? 6. Dan - ? 7. Doug - helping (work @ 12pm) BTW, I have a breaker bar, floor jack, torque wrench, various wrenches and extensions, metric sockets, etc. that I can bring. |
I will contact Eldge to see if he want's to fix his door actuator that weekend...
|
Does he have a lift so I can put on my new exhaust :)
