Ugh!! after putting 200 miles on my new motor seems to be over heating. It could be one of 2 things. Bad thermostat, or air bubble somewhere in the system. Anyone have this issue before?

I didnt do anything. The shop flushed the system and added new coolant all through a machine. They did a pressure test and its been running fine at idle for 2 hrs. Took it out for test drive and it was fine. So im scratching my head on this one

The shop should have done it then. You may want to do some research on it just in case. There's a draincock somewhere on the back of the motor to release any air bubbles. I haven't had to do it, but I remember reading about it.

If it's not that, then it's either the thermostat, electric fan motors, temperature sensor/switch for motors, or the radiator is partially clogged.

Whatever the case, you'll want to get it fixed before the weather gets any hotter!

Ok ill make sure i read up on it a bit more. The electric fans are working i know that. If they did a pressure test on it wouldnt that push whatever thats clogging the radiator?

^Wouldn't push it out necessarily. But you would think they would be able to tell if the radiator wasn't flowing good enough.

well they told me that when they did the pressure test that everything was fine. So its hard to know exactly until the problem is found.

Ive been reading some Z threads and some ppl have had the same problem that i have and most were just the coolant line and theremostat. Some say its can be the HG but i dont wanna think its that. Has anyone done bought a radiator funnel and purged it?

I had a friend with the same problem. After replacing all kinds of things with no luck, it turned out to be the radiator cap not making a good seal in order for the system to build the right pressure.

I read that alot of people had that same problem. Seems to be a major common issue. I hope its something easy to fix. I mean i havent gone past 2500 rpm since i got it back since im breaking in the motor. Its weird how it just started to do this after 200 miles.

Heres my poor baby on the bed of a truck.
