Calling All West Coast G's
 

Is there anyone on the West Coast traveling to Markham Park on Saturday morning? There will be a small group of us from the Tampa Bay area heading down on Interstate 75, I don't know if anyone lives in Bradenton, Sarasota, Port Charlotte, Fort Myers, or in between that would be interested in meeting up on the way. The current and tentative schedule is meeting @ Cracker Barrel at 7am near the Bradenton Race Track exit. Keep in touch for details.

I'll be leaving with Chris from the St. Pete area. Anyone else in the Clearwater/Tampa/St. Pete area want to drive down together?

Yea, after the Orlando caravan with mike and you, I learned alot about highway driving. Use the emergency lane for passing, keep the gas pedal to the metal, highbeams were meant to use during the day, and learn to take pictures out the sunroof @ 130 mph. What would be a good record time to break from Tampa to Weston, 2hrs and 45 minutes? :D

well map quest says 4 hrs and 15 mins so 3hr would be a go time to shoot for.

After thinking about this for a bit, I am thinking we may be better off meeting earlier at that Cracker Barrel. I figure that breakfast will take about an hour total, and if we met there at 7AM that would put us back on the road around 8 or 8:15. This would get us to the Park around 11 or 11:30 which might be a little late.

My revised recommendation is that we think about being at Cracker Barrel at the State Road 64 exit at 6AM. This would put us in better shape for our arrival time. If this seems too early for some of you, I understand and will "go it alone". Let me know if anyone is game for this...

I really wanted all of us driving down together. If everyone else agrees to meet there @ 6am, then we'll do just that. Is Omi still riding down on Saturday morning as well? I guess I'll be drinking lots of coffee and redbull to keep me awake. Ryan, I'll send to an PM later tomorrow, I would actually be back-tracking a little if we meet @ that Checkers.

Cool, Chris. Someone get ahold of Omi and see if he wants to join us. Why doesn't everyone just independently get down to that Cracker Barrel at 6AM, so you don't have to wait for people to meet up with. Be fully fueled ahead of time, and we'll do breakfast and get on I-75 South!

my friend clay who will be joining us at the meet lives in cape coral down there next to fort myers, and would like to join you guys in the caravan when you get close to that area. would one of you guys be willing to give him a call when you are approaching that area so he could meet you somewhere and join in. he will be new to that area since he will just be gettin there friday night, so maybe some place just off the highway. i told him to join in the thread here and post so he can find out whats goin on. so hopefully he will get to that tonight.
