Stillen's upgraded 6 rib pulleys

I have just got off the phone earlier with Stillen, I was asking about what it would take and cost to upgrade the 4 rib pulley on the kit I have to the 6 rib.
what they said was that you don't just get two new pulleys and belts but the whole top unit gets replaced, the pulleys neck is shorter to make room for the longer pulley
and the price is $400

I thought about it but didn't think I was going to need the 6 rib that much, I at least want to drive around with the kit firs tto see how bad the slippage is if all that much first before upgrading.

just wanted to share the information I got

Tony,

I never had any problems with belt slippage. Try it out first and see before you spend the money.

Thanks Tim, yea this is the week coming up, I have the hood and pretty sure everything I need to do the install.
I was just throwing this idea around in my head after hearing it on this board last week
a little nervous after talking with the guy from stillen, he gave me the impression that they didn't have alot of confidence in anyone else installing their kit but them

i installed mine myself back in 2003 and still have not had problems, the guys at stillen are salesmen and of course they are going to try and get you to have them install it.any competent mechanic can install this kit,it was pretty easy for me.

Stillen is like that with everything.

Like I told you before, the kit is not hard to install. Just take your time and you will be good to go. I was not trying to give you confidence because I wanted to sell my kit; it really is not hard to put in. :)

My kit came with the 6 rib belts so I can't comment on the 4 rib belts, but I haven't had any issues with the 6 rib belts at all. I haven't had to adjust anything since I've had the kit, which is a little over a month now.
