I can push 420 at 10 -12 second but no more there is no reason to go more then 12 seconds make sense?
tuned?

2004 g35 5at. 104k miles
-SFR twin turbo w/ gt30r upgrade
-SFR built 5at
-kinetix velocity plenum
-ARK GRiP V2 exhaust
-3.5 carbonetics vlsd
-ID 850cc injectors
-CJM stage 2 fuel return
-CJM twin pump assy w/ 2 255lph pumps
-snow meth injection
-oil pressure, trans temp, oil temp, a/f, boost gauge, and knock sensor (a-pillar and dash mounted, given miles i wanted everything i could get)
-tuned on Uprev by Cin Motorsports. 355whp 371wtq @6psi, 422whp 430wtq @10psi (very conservative)
So far 2k boosted no issues. Just in case gonna call SFR up and try to get a 3.7L stroker and their twin plenum and exhaust by next summer (and up to 1200cc injectors and run e85 map) +600whp DD here i come

so.. i'm at 135k miles. never had any issues with my G35. should I stay away from forced induction or does anyone think I'll be fine? I was looking into the Greddy Twin kit. dailying 400whp sounds nice.

What? Think about what you just said. Buy a VQ with much less miles, and build that separate engine. DDing a TT isn't practical at all either.

Staying out of boost and driving normal is easy. It becomes unpractical when something goes wrong or needs to be replaced.

haha I totally would if I had the funds though. I figured I'd need to have like $2k on the side after going FI in the case things go wrong. so would a SC be more practical in your opinion? or just NA? and I don't mean literal practicality.

yeah. my one and only car, so blowing the motor or something going wrong would definitely impact school and work. i'm only considering it cause i drove an Evo.. and driving my car just hasn't been the same since.

This is more along the lines of what i was talking about. You have to know what is going wrong and how to replace it because paying a shop to figure it out usually costs more then the parts.

Is nitrous a whole other ball game? Or similar?

^^ good questions. I'd love to keep the G and eventually boost it. Rather than buying a new car. No car payments is nice

I've never looked into VQ long blocks. That would be a good idea

This is also my DD

hey there everybody, i plan on going FI soon, and plan on using the vortech v3 sci. i plan on staying stock block for now and would just like to push 350-400whp for now. and next summer when i can afford to build the motor and hit 500+ ( crank hp NOT whp) is my overall goal.

now i was told it is best to just get the tuner kit and get your own fuel managment. if it is possible can some of you guys who own a vortech. or have a lot of knowledge and can help me out with a list of parts? i am still doing alot of heavy reading on any vortech thread i can find and still have at least a month or 2 before i can get the other 5 outta the 10 grand for my FI goal. i do plan on getting a water/meth injection kit as i heard it lowers engine temps down. i dont mind paying extra just to keep the car more reliable as its my daily driver.

2007 g35 coupe auto. by the time i can afford FI, my car will have all these on it
injen sp long tube cai polished black, stillen true dual exhaust single wall ( have it on now ), art pipes, mrev 2 + copper plenum spacer, scxcx red grounding kit, and i think that is it! THANKS!!

parts needed for 350-400whp?
vortech v3 tuner kit
uprev tune?
meth / water injection kit
3 gauges to monitor everything.
??
