So I'm thinking about picking up another G35 a few questions...

Coming from a 03 G35C .

I'm thinking about picking up a used 03G35C, it a single turbo AT. I never liked MT, so I am completely fine with AT. The price is within my budget. It has a conservative tune. Components are as follows...

Turbonetics Sinlgle Turbo Kit
HKS FCon IS Engine Management System
Blitz SBC Boost Controller
AAM Return Fuel System
Walbro Fuel Pump
Denso 565cc Injectors
Kinetix SSV Manifold
Samco Hoses
GReddy Catch Can
Aluminum PS resevoir
APS Coolant resevoir
7 PSI wastegate spring

It made 334.1 rwhp and 335 ft/lbs .

The tranny has no upgrades, the engine has not been built, internally. It has been driven with the setup for about 9k-10k miles. The car currently has about 64-65k.

Again the price is right, the only draw back is reliablity.

so whats your question again?...

GreenGoblin Nov 1, 2008 04:10 PM

Do you know who did the install/tune?

Jtrain Nov 1, 2008 06:25 PM

Good set up, Horrible power-- I'd definitely do a compression check on that.. find out who did the tune.

10k boosted miles on a 65k mile car with no built tranny or engine is a lot IMO.. again compression check!!! and if you buy the car upgrade the tranny right away.

EDIT: I guess if it's always been runnin that low of hp-- the tranny probably isn't THAT bad-- GL

Eh... in my opinion I would never buy a used boosted car.. just don't really know the true condition of the car.. Even with a compression leak down test and other diagnostics it would be just hard for me to buy a used boosted car. My 2 cents

DAGALEAG35 Nov 3, 2008 09:46 AM

dont buy it..

AmateuRN Nov 3, 2008 10:38 AM

Only way I'd buy it is if you did a leak down/compression test, had the tranny inspected, the tune looked at by your own choice of tuners, post up pictures and maybe someone can recognize the car. You never can tell, maybe someone has seen it on YouTube doing 160 right after the install during the break in period....
