Well I got to it on a Dynojet, uncorrected, SAE, and STD are all above 500 whp at 15 psi. In fact, it's above 500 for a good segment of the upper rpm range. Sharif's dyno is just a bear. I also didn't push the tune to the limit for pump gas. We could've gone to 16 or 17 psi but that leaves no room for error or boost fluctuations. W/M injection or race fuel and 21-24 psi will see well into the 500s on Sharif's dyno.

850bb, yes Mike, true, if you want to see mid 500's on Sharif's dyno on pump, in a 5AT.

I don't mean to go OT, sorry rc..
If it helps Mike unload those 850's before I get tempted, please go right ahead! LOL.

Sharif said it was part of the standard clearancing for their twin turbo install. So in a way, they've paid for it too.
Great job Raj...car looks great and is fast as hell....still pissed about the short runway J/k

rc.. Question for you...what gauge did you get for tranny temp? I couldn't figure it out from your mod list. I need a tranny temp gauge. Also, what range should your tranny be in? What is too hot?

Well I have a full innovate logging set up, so I can take any sensor off the shelf (read cheap), plug it in, put in the calibration curve, and have it show up in my A pillar. Pretty cool, eh? The actual sensor I believe is an ATM-2258. I have the calibration curve if you need it. It should work with most autometer gauges in standalone fashion and is relatively inexpensive ($20 for the sensor from Summit Racing I think).

I have DEFI Blue Racer gauges, so if I bought a temp gauge with that sensor on it, it would work right? I would just buy an oil temp gauge and that sensor you mentioned?

EDIT: I just googled that part number and at summit it says it works for autometer...hmmm

http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/d...e-p-32403.html

With that gauge would that just straight up work for tranny temp? Nothing else required?

The sensor itself just changes resistance values with temperature, but the gauge has to be calibrated for the sensor for the readings to be accurate. Any oil temp gauge/sensor will work just as well for tranny fluid.

Cool thanks. Honestly, I have no idea what you mean by it changes the resistance values and how/why the gauge has to be calibrated lol...

Very nice writeup. I hate reading long posts but this one was very informative. Your car is very nice and as Tony said, no shortcuts were taken. Good job on a well thought out plan.

LOL. The bottom line is that if the gauge and sensor aren't designed for each other, the readings will be off.

Ah I got you now. Well, with that link I posted the sensor comes with it so it should be made for each other ya?? lol.. I think I'll buy that gauge when the time comes. I'm getting a sweet gauge setup done here pretty soon. I"ll post pics

I don't want to start any drama. The bar had a VRT sticker on there and I wanted it off. I asked Scott for a Relentless Autosport decal to cover the "VRT" left behind. It never came and over a year passed. When I was building the motor, I asked Sharif to please put their logo on it and if that didn't cover the VRT, get it re-powdercoated or painted. ForgedPerformance has done a ton of custom work in that engine bay. They deserve that spot. This is their build. Hope you can understand. Peace.
Thanks for your explanation and understanding my comment. It makes a tad more sence now knowing that the bar was one of the older ones that had a vrt sticker on it. I'm shocked that Scott did not send you out a RA sticker for it.
Anyways, you have a very complete car there, probably one of the most compatent 5AT's around.

Question; has anyone ever figured how much more whp is lost through the 5AT's over the 6MT's yet? Might be interesting to know.

XKR is a friend. It's funny, I think my first post with XKR on this site was in a somewhat heated "discussion" over this very same brace. But trust me I know him much better now. Not only is he very knowledgeable with a great deal of experience racing, but he's an all around great guy - and I'm sure you are as well. Let's just bury the hatchet?

In regards to the question, typical builds on Sharif's dyno that are 6MT but otherwise identical net almost exactly 500 whp. I'm at 475. So that's looks like an additional 5% drivetrain loss. I make up for it with my rear differential final gear ratio. It's 6% higher than stock. Few folks realize that gearing has no effect on dyno results as dynos take it into consideration (by monitoring speed over time), but it makes a big difference on the road.

Here is the way I look at it....not only am I an on line friend of Raj...I am also a personnel friend that knows him in person....If I don't have the right to tell him he should add more Forged Performance stickers...where the hell do you get the right from to tell him where he should or should not put a sticker

Sorry RAJ....I tried to hold back...Sorry !!
