Alright I have a couple questions.

- In the installation manual, it says to cut out a hole in the core support to be able to attach the air filter. Is that really necessary?

- I've read some guys say that the vacuum line for the BPV isn't included in the tuner kit. So I'll have to go buy a 5/32" line?

- I've read that the best place to weld the bung for the wideband would on the driver side of my ART pipes. Will it matter if it's closer to the headers or closer to the catback? (Total Noob question) where does the sensor for the boost gauge go?

- Lastly, does anyone know of a good shop that can make me a custom gauge pod?

Thanks all in advance.

This is really the only question I can answer. But no, you don't have to cut the core support. It will just make it easier to remove the filter without smashing it down later, but you don't have to cut the support.

Kevin just recently cut his since he just wanted easier access to it. But if you don't want to cut it, then you can feed the filter through the fender line to install it or remove it later for cleaning.

Nope.

Yes, you need to buy your own vacuum line. Take the BPV to the store with you to make sure you get the correct size. You'll also have to decide where you want to get the vacuum source from the intake manifold (tee'd off another line or tap your manifold).

you run a vacuum line from your intake manifold to the gauge. again, you'll have to decide where / how you want to get the vacuum source.

^ Thank you. I think I'll just run the line to the plugged vacuum port in front of the plenum, and eventually tee off of that for the boost gauge.

Hey Jay, just got my oil and trans coolers installed last night. My Vortech kit was delayed till supposedly the end of the month . Till then, im having my gauge pod made, and installing the gauges next week. All that will be left is to install the kit and get it tuned.

What did you end up adding to your build?

I am not finish I may have some more money to play with. I added the 2.87 pulley, test pipes, headers, HKS exhaust, 5/16 plenum. The other supporting mods are K sport Control coilovers, sub frame bushing. I am doing a back seat delete, and getting some racing seats, and I may go with the GTC 300 so I can have some down force on the back tires.. I am still exploring options as for the "next step" mods..

Subbed. This should be fantastic to follow. Still not sure if I'll go with a Vortech at some point but do want to follow through to see how it goes. Love the new color as well glad that came out alright and you had that opportunity (silver lining and all that).

Not to derail the thread but how does the MREV2 work for you with a 5AT 07? I'm curious b/c with a 5AT 06 I had asked others I think and they said it wasn't really worth the money since it wasnt a revup.

It gives very minimal gains. I got mine for free, so I'm not complaining, but I think it's only worth it for 6MT's.
