TIME TO BOOST! Some questions

So, I recently acquired a used Vortech V3.

I had a couple questions for you guys. Currently, I have a (sort of) built DE non revup with high compression (11:1)

(BUILD IS HERE https://g35driver.com/forums/g-spot/...till-made.html)

Compared to stock it's only .7 difference and compared to VHR/HR it's almost equivalent.

The pulley that is on this kit is the 2.87 pulley, factor in an ATI Superdampener which is pretty much an overdrive pulley, and I should be up more than 14 PSI. The question is, will the car be able to handle it? I also have been looking at gauges and was wondering which to go with. The a pillar can only fit 3 gauges and I was wondering if I should go with a Boost, oil temp and AFR or if I should look for other spots to fit more gauges that should be required. I also plan on looking at mechanical gauges as they are more accurate than the digital ones.

As for the company of the gauges, AEM and Defi are the ones I had my eyes on, I heard about PLX but nothing they have really fancies what I like.

Any and all information is appreciated guys.
Thanks in advance. :driving:

at 11:1 boosted, your tuning will be on a very fine edge. At that compression and boost level you are an injector misfire away from detonation. Definitely will be needing larger injectors and a dead solid fuel pump, not to mention a very skilled tuner.

that being said.. i hope it works out for you because that beotch will scream :)

So the biggest question is, what fuel are you running?

E-85-crank the crap out timing and have fun.
93- You'll be fine just watch for knock
91- Knock is more than likely so pull a good amount of timing. Or get water/meth kit.

Blowers love higher compression so you will make good power.

We're lucky enough that we get only 93 out here in Northern NJ for our highest octane. Unfortunately E85 is scarce, which is a disappointment.

so my 600cc and walbro 255 aren't gonna be enough then?

That should be fine for pump gas.

as for gauges

I stated I looked at Defi, but innovate has some nice ones. Any other suggestions?

Dope!

Just for reference, I have a vortech V2 on 3.12 pulley with 660cc and 300plh pump. I hit around 12 psi at 7200rpm redline during cool weather. My injectors are good right now on the 93, but they don't have much more to go before maxing.

For the OP, I have innovate wideband, DEFI racer boost gauge, and DEFI oil pressure gauge. I would like to get an oil temp gauge and fuel pressure gauge for on top of my steering column next.
