APS CHRA's $900???? Has anyone done this?

So the turbos on my 04 coupe are blown. And the only place i could find that has the rebuild kit is Z1 motorsports. The problem here is that the new CHRA's are $900 each!!! 😳
Is there another option out there?? Do other turbos fit this kit?
It's for an APS Twin turbo kit (not the extreme)

Any help is greatly appreciated

I mean that sounds like a fair price because that component is literally the HEART of the entire system, the rest is just exhaust manifold, clamps, fancy tube, and an intercooler. It's possible there are replacement turbo's available but you're going to be spending the same amount (or more) to retrofit them. FI is expensive.

I would send the turbo to blouch and get the new compressor wheel. There have been so many advancements in the last few years. It will not cost any less, it will cost more but call them and see

A little late on this one but they are Garrett dual ball bearing chra's which are expensive units. Probably something like a 3076r cartridge. You can always mark the locations of the comp cover and turbine housing to the chra and take them apart. Measure the inducer and exducer of the wheels and match it up to the appropriate garrett unit and check around for pricing.
