UPDATE!!!..VRT's quest for 800+ WHP.
As previously discussed, our team at VRT and the Mad Scientist at JWT have been working on a nice addition and upgrade to our already proven family of TT performance cars. Oh yes - 700 WHP at ONLY 14 PSI. We will make 800+ WHP this week after a few tweaks.
Sounds Stupid yet Oh Sooo Real. This G35C was our first test car. Of course, we are using full GT28s with a 55 MM compressor (Jim Wolf calls our smaller GTs the 530s and these the 700s), a much larger fuel pump, injectors, crazy clutch, cams, and more, but we are proud at our performance thus far. I am hoping these turbos can make at least 850 WHP. And yes the car idles and can smoke the tires at 100 MPH on the freeway. SADLY - We did a 20-PSI run today and simply broke the Dyno. It can only hold 800 FT/LBS of torque and the 20 PSI run crashed the Dynopak (at only 4K RPM's). We had to replaced the clutch and will rerun the car this week at 20 PSI after recalibrating the dyno and trying the run in 6th gear. We will see what we get. Pretty Fun and still making full boost at around 3000 RPM. A little more lag than the smaller GTs but Not Much. We will track the car at about 11 PSI and around 550 WHP. Be back soon for more power. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a12...5_grey_700.jpg |
very nice... keep up the good work and post more dyno.

I can't wait. :) |
you guys are NUTS over there at VRT. those are some amazing numbers for a G. keep it up.

Update.......
Today at JWT we made even bigger numbers......and tomarow (Friday) EVEN MORE POWER...........
We have since added a new JWT Clutch, two different cam designs, more voltage to the fuel pump and NOW making a Clean 760 WHP/824 Torque at 20 PSI. The car is still on the JWT dyno as we need to get a little more fuel to make our next goal of 850 WHP and 900 Torque Friday 4/21/06. We are also flashing the computer......and ordered a 180 MPH speedo from Japan...Wish they had 200 MPH but Oh Well... Yes this is stupid power and NO we do not have a return fuel line, 1000 CC injectors, sleeves, and the car DOES Drive Fantastic. Watch the Speedo on the Dyno from 120-160 MPH...Yahhh This car will be at a track day this weekend with SpeedVentures.net at Spring Mountain if you don't believe it is drivable. YES once again, it is a DAILY DRIVER and it idles NICELY Here is the Dyno and a short video link.......... this... is... insane!!!

Nice job-congrats.

Congrats on another incredible car guys! The coolest part about this whole thing is, that car will be tearing it up around the track on Saturday with me! No dyno queens here!

SPEECHLESS...How can I get my car to do that and how much?! (I guess if I have to ask, I can't afford it  )

I want to build in stages with engine and TT kit first before tackling suspension due to budget constraints (extra cashflow is not huge but thankfully consistent :) ) My initial goals are TT with forged internals/built motor, clutch and flywheel, while maintaining stock tires and body (for the sleeper look). I want 450WHP and torque to match (if not close). I know forged internals/built motor will probably be overkill for my target HP range but I'm thinking of the future (more boost with matched traction) plus the reliability factor goes up as this is my daily driver. What do ya think? This is my daily driver so I guess I would have to |
So if you plan to get your motor built for the future TT install ? Are you going with a lower compression set up? If you do... i hope its not going to take too long to get the TT setup. But from what i read i think this is a great idea to do your stages in this order... i was thinking maybe you should just save until you have all the cash... but with that built motor you can atleast break it in... and then once you get your TT you can just push it (do you have to break in turbos?)
