What's the Most Reliable TT Setup?
I haven't posted here in a while, so I've been trying to catch up on all the FI info that I've missed. It seems that after virtually every TT install, there are people saying they should have built the motor first. My question is, what 380-425 whp TT and engine parts would make the most reliable G, if you could pick any parts with price not really being an issue.
|
if price not an issue, go w/ the aps tt. its one of the most complete kits out there.
|
I've had my APS TT since August of last year and zero problems to report. :)
|
I am partial to the JWT TT kit. I absolutely love it on my 350Z and have had no problems with it even though its mainly used for track racing. APS is another good kit, but has a little more lag. Basically, without money being an issue any of them can be reliable.

The engine block itself is very reliable up to 800hp. The internals are the weak spot in the engine. They can only handle up to 400hp. So make sure you upgrade the rods, bearings, etc, etc

If there are people doing over 400hp more power to them. I would rather upgrade the internals rather than take a chance. |

up to 400 rwhp is safe, anything more is def possible. but you may run into troubles if not careful. but i know a couple of people in sfl alone that are 400rwhp+ on stock internals

Thanks for the input everyone. So, the stock engine parts should be fine with the APS up to 400hp?
Also, does anyone know of a good installer in texas around Houston or Dallas? |
if you are looking at tt......go internals as well....no such thing as i am happy without more boost.....and of course, more boost, more problems.......no way out

had my APS TT for about 10k miles already. nothing has gone wrong and hopefully nothing will go wrong for another 10k miles.
|
APS TT here too for almost one year and 12,000 miles. No problems to report, except my idle which is too low and somewhat unstable. 450whp on Dynojet.
