Round 3: Infiniti FX50S vs. X6 XDrive50i (Automobile Magazine)
The article isn't online yet, but the FX won:
Their conclusion: "The FX50 makes more sense to us - with nearly identical performance, five passenger seating, and a lower price it clearly will appeal to more buyers." The X6 is just soo much better looking than the FX50 though. I saw a X6 the other day. Great looking SUV

Are you being sarcastic?

I'm just saying...
I think the FX is an absolutely gorgeous vehicle...probably one of the best-looking vehicles in production in my lifetime. I love its design.
The X6 just looks fat and dumpy, plus it's 700+ lbs heavier than the FX and more expensive. The X6 is hideous. It makes the bangled 5-series look good. |
There is no comparison with an FX...it is the best looking vehicle ever made as far as I remember... I miss my old days with the FX :(

Sorry. It's my opinion. I like the looks of the BMW much better.

Towing capacity:
x35i: 6000lbs fx35AWD: 2000lbs Outside of the brake and tire size, how is this possible? I doubt the average consumer will care about this stat, but damn. |

Volvo... XC60 or something like that... hahaha
Yeah man... it does look like a Volvo... lol |
Well, the Volvos look better than the FXs also. Shrug. I just don't like the bulbous lines the Infinti SUVs have.

i really liked the older fx's. my dad used to lease a 45. used to remind me of this big old bulldog coming at u. just looked powerful and mean looking. the new one i have no clue what the hell is going on. from the side of the car the front looks like a catfish, and that gray/silver air vent is just tacky... to me they totally ruined the appearance of the car. in general i find most of the infiniti's are getting too round and bubbly. they've totally lost their edge. the only one that still speaks to me is the sedan. i think it's the best looking sedan out there right now.
when i first saw pics of the x6 i really had mixed feelings.. as in i didn't like it. but a couple weeks ago i saw truck packed with them on-board being delivered somewhere. really changed my opinion and got me gawking at them like i used to for the old fx models when they first came out. i guess it comes down to personal preference... and it's great that there's all this competition out there. it's too bad though that the performance of the x6 doesn't match it's looks. |
