How is the view of traffic?

I almost traded my G for a leftover '07 FX35, but the blind spots and limited visibility of traffic was a deal killer.

I really want an FX, but may have to go try the MDX if they didn't fix the blind spots in the '09 FX.

Never had an issue with blindspots in either 06 or 09, or any of my Gs.

I think most of that has to do with how you set up your mirrors, particularly your side mirrors, which most people set up to look at their own car. We set our side mirrors properly and never have any issues with traffic visibility whatsoever.

<<I think most of that has to do with how you set up your mirrors, particularly your side mirrors,>>

Could be. I only got to keep the FX for a day and a half.

In my '04 G35x, if I look to the right side mirror, out of my peripheral vision I can see the small blind spot in the other lane to the right rear. So there really isn't a blind spot.

I have had people sneak into my left side from the second lane over though. That usually only happens when I'm merging since I'm in the far left lane the rest of the time!

MPG numbers are starting to materialize. After break-in (~1500 miles on the odo now), she's seeing 19mpg avg tank-to-tank in 100% city driving to/from work. On the highway, we're seeing about 23mpg short-term average (highway portion only) at about 70mph avg speed. On a trip from Austin to Houston, we saw 20.0 door-to-door cruising between 75 and 90mph and with some traffic issues here and there (I-10 & SH Toll 8.. wtf?!) and 20.2 avg MPG round-trip including some light city driving in Houston.

The 06 FX was averaging 16.5-17.5 mpg mixed city/highway and 18.5-19mpg pure highway.

The 7AT seems to make a difference as the car more effortlessly accelerates, but there seems to be a heavy aero penalty above 70mph that causes the MPG to drop a couple of ticks if you cruise at say 80mph+.

My g37 6mt averages 19.0 mixed and 25 pure highway, and does the austin to houston door-to-door trip in average of 23mpg crusing 80-90mph, so there seems to be a sizeable aero difference.

VERY nice bro, congrats. I am really loving this new FX. I am a ways out from buying another vehicle right now, but this could potentially be my next vehicle.

Congrats. Very nice! The exterior is growing on me a bit more. Interior looks first rate. I really like what I'm reading about the engine and trans.
