My way of dealing with understeer in 60mhp turns: what's yours?

After a couple of run at the Angeles Crest Hhw, which has a lot long (relatively) sweeping curves, I notice that the G35 tends to understeer in these section. If I feel like the front end about to run into the rock wall, the safest way is to slow down by either backing off a bit of applying the break slightly to let the rear end to catch up.

But I feel the that if I just go ahead and hold the gas, but turn the wheel a little more, then the rear would slice out a little and helps the front end to track the curve better. Of course if I turn too much or already going in the curve too fast the end will probably loose traction and spin the whole car. The rear seems to give you a little play before loosing it. I found this works best for me without loosing too much speed.

I've found the G is prone to initial understeer, but if you feed it about 15% more gas, it will bite down and start grabbing for the inside of the turn. The only time I've gotten the rear to come out is:

1) Feed too much gas too abruptly right at the apex.
2) Off-camber slow speed turn with too much throttle
3) Going into a sweeper too hot and then lifting off the gas too fast.

my way is to get s-techs, 350z shocks and hotchkis sway bars with medium front and stiff rear, with staggered tire setup 235/50/17 rear and 225/50/17 front or 245/30/19 -rear and 225/35/19. The car has NO understeer and is the most neutral coupe or sedan i have ever driven. I drove my buddies E46 m3 with springs and that car was very unpredictible compared to mine.
