Need Tires Advice Asap
I need to purchase 4 new tires for my '05 G35 Sedan. I was told it has to be atlease "V" rated. Here's what I came up with. Please give your opinions asap, because I have to buy them this week. (1)GoodYear ResponsEdge ($650) (2)GoodYear Eagle GT. . . ($580)...If you have other brands in mind, please let me know so I could do a quick research. Thanks

I like my yokohama Avid V4S... if you want a faster rating they also have a Avid W4S.

Good Luck on your search, but remember that if you are a performance nut, these tires wont necessarily grip as well as the Potenza's will, but if you are for comfort and quiet, than these will be your perfect choice!

With OEM staggered F to R sizing So far 22K miles and they still have 80% of the original tread depth. More than adequate handling and grip for the road. Tires are very quiet and ride compliance had slightly improved over the original RS-As. Remember this car IS a luxury coupe. No hydroplaning in standing water and reasonably good traction in snow. You only need V rated tires if you will consistently drive the car over 149 mph. For coupe owners desiring to preserve the staggered F to R OEM sizing we cannot be so choosy due to the more limited selection. In other words even H rated tires would be sufficient for most applications. They are rated for sustained driving at 130 mph. You might even want to consider H rated Goodyear Triple-Treds. I know several owners of late model Benz E-classes and BMW 5 series have installed these tires with excellent results. |
