chip in tire... does it need to be replaced?
1 Attachment(s)
hey guys,
i was backing out of my driveway earlier today at my new place and hit a sharp curb on the side and it chipped my front tire. is it something i should be worried about? does it need to get replaced? pic attached thanks |
It needs to be replaced. Now it has a much higher likelihood of blowing out and the integrity of the sidewall is hugely compromised.
|
I'd replace it if i were you because i wouldnt want to crash and die with highway speeds.
|
Yeah you should definitely get that replaced ASAP
|
Thanks guys. Went this morning and got the 2 front tires replaced with some Hankook evos

I have one about half the side of that on my rears and I've been driving on many rough roads without any problems....I wonder if the manufacturer's warranty covers this? (Hankooks) |
It always better to be safe then sorry. Especially when your driving on the freeway.

I never would have thought a small chip in the sidewall could be so dangerous!
