Well dont drive in atl... JK but Charlotte can be just as bad. I usually try to avoid rush hour traffic so that I am not just sitting. I shift around 2700 - 2800 rpm and am all around light on the pedal. I also try to coast through lights instead of being on and off the gas. Trust me I have gotten 200 miles a tank when I am reaching 4500rpm...

You should look under the hood. It is possible someone rebadged your Sentra as "Infiniti"

Checked, my VQDE is still there :)

I get around 380 a tank before my gas light goes on. My commute is 90% highway. 50 miles there 50 miles back. :P

I'm like 70% highway 30% city and I can get about 350-380 a tank and average like 70mph on the highway and i think 23-26 mpg. There was one time that i got my mpg to say 65mpg and I tried to take a picture of it but i was driving and my phone is stupid.

consistently get 320 out of a tank when the light comes on! shift between 2-2.5k rpms.... 75% city 25% highway

I had a '03 Tahoe that would say 99 mpg when I would go downhill, same thing with a '98 passat

hehe the funny thing was I wasnt on a hill I was going like 55 on a flat stretch of highway
It happened after I reset the MPG on the screen. By the time i get my stupid phone to work it went down to 35mpg

Between 250-350 depending on the highway/city mix I do in the week.... But I never get it down to the E line, I fill up when the light pops up.
On highway, I mostly do 75-80 mph.

how the hell do all you guys get such bad gas mileage?

I drive 50/50 city/highway and have never gotten less than 325 miles from my tank...

I recently had a small road trip, it was all highway, filled up after 410 miles!! I about pissed myself, never thought I'd see that.

i get 270 miles out of every tank(got 300 one time) and i dont drive crazy and no mods done to engine or exhaust cars only got 40k...i went on a 8 hour road trip to Myrtle Beach last year and got 450 miles though

sharkcityG 01-09-2012 01:11 AM

I drive 70% in expressway n the rest in city. My light comes on after 270 miles but I drive it till 300 then i fuel up.

Its making me sick to my wallet to see 400 miles on a tank for some of you guys... but I notice its the V35s posting those numbers mostly. I drive mostly in the city and dream of getting 300 miles out of a full tank. By the time I get down to 1/4 tank (when I usually refill) I'm around 180-200 miles. Most I ever got was 280ish on mostly hwy driving... probably could've gotten to 310 if I pressed my luck and drove to fumes

stockae92 01-09-2012 01:08 PM

usually range indicates 350-380 miles for a tank. i usually fill up when i have about 1/4 tank left.

if i stay at just under 2.5k rpm with CC on on the flat freeway (just under 65 mph), the car is doing at least 30 mpg :)

i would do that when i don't need to get to point B in a hurry

Hotdawwgman 01-09-2012 01:16 PM

Oh for sure. Our cars get the best at 60-65 after that it's drops considerably!

BallerOnaBudget 01-09-2012 02:41 PM

Just filled up this morning, had 1/4 tank left (accurate as I drove it a good 15 miles before fueling) and had 369 miles on the odometer =)...don't venture down into the city too often, just cruise around 285 to where I need to go!
