If you dont already know some of Honda's achievements, chances are that you are not really a car person. Your interest in cars only extends as far as the aesthetics. Rims, offset, ride height are probably your favorite car related terms. Am I right? Thats why you bought a G.

2010 Ferrari 458 Italia. Pretty sure you've heard of it. V8, 4.5L, 570 HP. 124HP of NA power per liter.
2000 Honda S2000. F20C 2.0L 240HP. 123 HP of NA power per liter.

So you are saying making 240 HP from an NA engine the size of a 2 liter coke bottle is not an accomplishment. heh. And notice I bolded the years too. In 2000 the S2000 has the highest HP/liter in ANY mass production car. Then 10 years later Ferrari took that from Honda with their 458 Italia. yup 10 years. and at $240,000 I dont consider that a mass production car.

Not gonna start another Honda VS G35 war. But like I said, if you dont already know Honda achievements, chances are you were never interested in this aspect of cars.

I am a huge car person, but Hondas dont interest me and that is the only statement you made on how Honda has impacted the car world...and that alone has not even scratched the surface...the only ones who care about hp/per liter are the ones who use it as a crutch so it makes their car look higher and mightier than it really is. What else in your opinion, or based on facts, how has Honda changed the car world? That one statement isnt doing anything for me... Aesthetics are nt the only thing i care about, but hp per liter is generally something most people dont look at or care to look at. Its almost meaning less, because what it comes down to if your really about power, is who crosses the finish line first.

I really dont feel like talking about the history of Honda. Theres waaay too much to cover lol. But as you can tell I have a huge soft spot for Hondas. For me, the underdog aspect of Hondas really interest me. I really like the idea of having something everyone says its a POS but actually has very high potential. Thats why I have a G35 sedan and not the coupe. Ppl always think "aahhh its a sedan" but little do they know its pretty capable. thats why I got a little passionate explaining myself. xD. I got technical with the HP/liter because honestly thats what sets you apart from other car ppl. By knowing and understanding something that most people dont even normally think of, thats what keeps you ahead of the game.

So, just to clear this up, a 2.0L displacement engine is the same size as a 2L coke bottle... um... ok.... and N/A HP per L is the de-facto standard in measuring the merit of an engine? So a 3.5hp 50cc scooter has a better, more advanced engine than a 2004 Civic? (70hp/l for the scooter, 68hp/l for the Honda) seems a logical argument.

HP/liter shows progress and efficiency in the engine IMO... If it was meaningless than why do formula 1 cars have 800hp 3L V8s? lol

Thing is Nissan would rather use a turbo to exceed the 100hp/l mark, instead of going NA, like honda did. Both have their advantages and disadvantages but at the end of the day its whatever you grew up with and enjoy to drive more! And I can honestly say, my old bolt on Civic SI was wayyy funner to drive than this dull G35.

Lol. Civics are cool when youre 16 and it's a last resort because your parents make you buy your own car so you're forced to pick up a $5k grocery-getter, that or your parents know a civic is a cheap little econo box and they don't have to worry about their child beating the hell out of it or going to fast and killing themself. So you think, "i'll make the best of this $hitty situation and slap on a pep boys cone filter, coffee can muffler, and decals to a bunch of parts that I wish I could afford and then maybe no one will realize I'm driving Honda's bottom-of-the-line entry level vehicle."

and what does the 50cc rev to????? lol dont you realize HP is a factor of torque and RPM... Not to mention the huge difference in displacement brings alot of different variables.

And also yes 2L of coke is the same displacement as a 2000cc engine........

But really, who goes by hp per liter? Its just a plea to say im not as fast as you still....but my car "x" amount of hp per liter so if i had a v8 instead of this 4 banger, i would smoke you

we are doing exactly what the trolls wanted us to do... argue about hondas vs infinitis

lets be for real if there wernt so many riced out hondas and stupid people who do dumb things to hondas we probably would be bashing on them so hard. But since they are afforable and a majority of the popluation can get one and do what ever they want with it. I m sure if Gs were that cheap and easy to come by we would see a lot of riced out Gs too then have people on bimmer and audi forums bashing us.

this is a Infiniti fourm obviously we are going to defend our Gs and we should or else why would we have bought it in the first place. On bimmer fourms and civic forums they will argue that their cars are the best. its all a matter of where you are coming from and what you have.

just my 2 cents
