The idler pulley powered a mechanical fan on the 03 models. They switched to electrical fans the next year. So the pulley serves no purpose on 04-mid 06 models. Just an extra moving part that could eventually fail. The DE motors came without the pulley. Just need a 1" shorter belt. I just asked for one off an 08 fx35. I'd reccomend it next time you have the belts off. Plus you shed a couple lbs
How many hours do you think you've put into those wheels? I might consider this when I need new tires. Any concerns about damaging the paint when they mount the tire? The one time I let someone drive my car they put it up on a curb

The trick is a good paint sealant and wax, the stuff just doesn't stick, the car duster even takes the bugs off the front, but you need to dust EVERY SINGLE DAY, takes about 2min to do the car each day. Totally worth it.
I'll post some "dirty" pics next friday if I remember, that's the dirtiest day of the week since it's been on the freeway all week long and a VERY dusty construction site.
Don't settle for cheap imitations, the ORIGINAL CCD is the best.

I hear ya on the CCD. I tried Wizards shine master polish and sealant in mid July.
Hand washed Friday 8/11, used Wizards mist and shine afterward.
9 days later which included getting rained on twice. (Didn't drive in the rain, it wit during work and roads were dry later in the day)
Kind of gives this the same characteristics of the color silver. Looks clean from a short distance but up close you can see faint spots.
I'm happy with this stuff so far. Kind of streaky on black if you use too much.

Since it's a slow night on driver, I'll at least mention what began today...
Dropped off two new oem mirrors for paint along with a front grill and new set of emblems. You'll have to wait to see the final product...
Also I ordered new door stops so that the doors don't chop people in half anymore.
Lastly, and most importantly, my mechanic was able to identify and order the rubber part of the doors that forms a cap on the top of the side mirrors (shown in the pic). I couldn't find these at all online and had conflicting info from various parts departments. But, he found them and for 55$ each these will get replaced along with the mirrors to bring that worn out rubber back to new. This was huge for the overall project because these looked like crap!
Should have everything installed next Monday after a trip.
