What did you do to the G today?

Did you ever run your car without the undercarriage plastics? Did it cause any handling or NVH differences due to airflow at higher (60-120) speeds that you noticed?
Earlier this week I went over my entire undercarriage with a wire brush and grinder and removed all the surface rust and suspicious looking undercoating, followed with Rustoleum rust converter and rubberized undercoating where it would be helpful. It's so nice knowing for sure nothing important on my car is rusting out from underneath me anymore, just all the bits that people can see!

I also have the fumoto oil drain valve and my only complaint is how slow the oil drains. Was thinking about switching back to the original plug.

I've been running without it too simply because I don't have one. My old Corolla didn't have one either but the fastest I went in that car was like 80. So I'm guessing you didn't notice any additional noise on the highway or anything like that if you've got one and don't use it? I'm almost done with my suspension overhaul (only one more clunk to chase) so it's high time the body of my G caught up a little to the mechanics.

I'll take a slower drain rate over the mess that a drain plug can/will create any day of the week.

Took it on a road trip from Tampa to Miami over the weekend. Was nice to open it up a little bit, but was a little hesitant as I got 2 tickets in 1 month that I had to pay/go to to court for. So lets just say I was a little lighter on the gas then normal. And both tickets, ironically, was NOT driving the G. Go figure.
Changed the oil today, my own syn-blend of M1 HM and Mobil Super HM. OEM filter. Gave her a can of BG MOA too.
Also replaced 1 of the reverse lights that went out awhile ago. Been using vleds for a few years, but I just put back the old bulb back in. It's a world of difference in the bulbs.
I tried to clean my MAF sensor, but quickly realized it was secured using tamper resistant torx screwes. I have never cleaned it before since owning the car. Need to buy that screw type to even get it out. A pity.
Overall a good day with the G.

You might want to take it off, I had a friend back in the day who's stocker was hanging loose in a couple of spots. It got yanked by something he drove over and it ripped the whole thing off, tearing all of the mounting holes in the bottom of the front bumper. IIRC it was a pain in the azz to fix so the jagged holes could be fixed enough to mount a new one. He went with the metal version which I recommend to all DIY'ers. The door to access the filter and drain plug is an awesome thing to have when doing oil changes.
