What did you do to the G today?

i took some measurements after those pictures and did some figuring. I can fit about 1.66 cubes, after displacements from a useable port size and tuning, on top of he carpet against the seat and flush with the trunk opening... No idea if that can fit through the opening though. 28x17x10.75 outside dimensions. Basicly enough for one good 12 ported if the mounting depth from top mount is under 10 inches.

I'm always worried too much bass will wiggle things loose like screws, especially in the sunroof glass. I had a jeep with two 15's and the previous owner blew out his sunroof once and back window twice. You'd think he would learn after the first time but after the third I guess he decided to sell them to me. Most my money is in the door speakers so I hate to cancel out the music with too much bass. There's too much rattle without any music anyway!

Swapped in a pair of LED headlights (H4) to replace the fog/highs
I know the yellow is preferable for fog and rain but I'm rarely ever in those weather conditions
These are definitely brighter than the halogens. With the halogens I could hardly tell when the fogs were on and the highs were not all that much better either.
I have a few more different sets on their way, with varying price tags, that I'll be trying out soon between my G our other cars. I was pretty impressed with these (being the cheapest with Chip on Board) so I'm intrigued to see the output on the sets with CREE and Osram chips.
Hard to capture the lighting on my phone camera, but here's an idea

Edit: forgot the beam patterns - These being COB the cut off is not as precise as the single CREE or Osram chips would be, but still not too bad. Tested from a distance sitting in another car and there's no glare or dazzling.
HID, Fog, Highs

That is an awesome color Edgar!
Today I had an appt in Charleston that I turned into a proper roadtrip and hung out with a buddy.
Bonus points to the first one to ID the wheels on the Porsche.
Oh and BTW on a 40 roll I destroyed that 997. (On a hwy deep in Mexico....we were the only ones around)

A lot of manufacturers actually have LED headlights now as OEM, although yes, they are different with specialised lenses etc. But.... there are major automotive lighting brands like Philips who make LED headlight bulbs to replace halogen, companies like Philips wouldn't invest into these if they didn't belong in headlights.

Ever heard of the customer is always right? Companies make stuff that sells.
Led assemblies from new cars use Chips designed for that projector or in very rare cases reflector. You can’t remove it from that headlight without bringing the whole assembly to a new headlight.
Led drop in bulbs don’t work in halogen housings like HID don’t either because they are designed completely different for output.
Just don’t drive with your fogs on because they blind everyone. You would fail an inspection if you had one in your county.
