Adjusted tension on the drive belts, I put new ones on this spring and the AC compressor belt stretched a little and was beginning to make just a little noise on these cold morning startups. Nothing really exciting

There's a couple from last summer in an album on my profile.

EDIT: The weather has been trash for the past month on the weekend so I haven't been able to give it a good detailing so I won't go take any pics of it right now :P

Bath time! I felt super guilty for not washing the car for the past month but the weather was so crappy where I live in the Pacific Northwest that it wasn't really an option. Hopefully it will be nice again next weekend so I can get the winter coat of paint sealant and wax on.

Worst case if I can't get that done in a week or two is pull it into the shop and wash/sealant/wax indoors but I hate that watery mess...

You should look into a product called Optimum No Rinse/ONR. Available at Detailed Image, Autogeek etc. it is my go to wash product and has been for 8 years. Unless my car is super muddy it's the best wash product I have ever used. You put one-2 ozs. in 4 gallons of water and use microfiber towels to wash one panel at a time then wipe with a waffle weave drying towel. It's an amazing product, is environmentally safe and costs about $1-2 a wash. It's a perfect product to use for indoor washing, look it up and read the reviews, you'll find it has thousands of fans among the detailing crowd.

That being said the car's looking good!!

How well do you think it would hold up against a lot of rain splatter from highway travel? I think my car gets "too dirty" for something like that? I do have mud splatter on the lower edges of the fenders and such, the jobsite travel path is a muddy road this time of year but I go nice and slow across it so it doesn't fling too much up.

It would do fine if you changed out the wash bucket once when you're halfway through. Read up on it, it's an amazing product.

Can you not just get away with the two bucket method and a grit guard?

Swapped out my rear 8k Fotune 500 springs to 10k. Their suggested 10/8k set up is comfortable, but a bit too soft for my taste. I am now at 10/10k.

And, while under the car my mechanic noted that I should replace the tunnel stay assembly that was a rusted mess...funny thing is that I had my new one in the trunk and was waiting to see if there would be time to ask him to install that as well...once he inquired, I showed him the new one and he was glad to put it on! Check out these pics:

Sickening

Ah, better

WTH??

I feel much better now!!

Lol wow you weren't kidding about the rusted mess, guess that paint doesn't hold up to whatever they put on your roads.

Funny thing is that the rest of the undercarriage is in pretty good shape even though this car has been driven every winter in MD since 2004. Hopefully the old one was from a reject batch and the new one holds up better.
