Nice paint! Love that color on the G.
Last night I surprised my friend when my "old loud car" pulled on his '16 328i, which isn't much of an accomplishment but nobody expected my aged rusty G to beat an almost brand new BMW to 130. Who knew??
Got my new Magnaflow resonated muffled x pipe, going to muffler shop to install after work today, I'll take some before and after video from inside the car at various gears and speeds and if anyone with HKS reps wants to hear it I'll post it up somewhere here.

Took mine in for an alignment job today at the local Nissan. Interesting experience, apparently two of the 3 techs scheduled to work today called in sick and the one mechanic who showed up was overworked and PISSED and there was a little drama in the customer area of the service dept. They offered to comp my alignment job but it didn't feel appropriate so I declined and told them I would pay. Got a free oil change get voucher though because they were pretty embarrassed about what happened.
However... the primary reason I went in is my steering wheel has always been about 3-5° off to the right and I assumed it would be corrected as part of an alignment job (has been for every private mechanic alignment I've ever had done) but I noticed on my way home that it's still off...
Can anyone verify that repair steps for alignment include centering the customers steering wheel? I don't see any specific documentation on alignment steps in the factory service manual so...

Have you checked your printout to see how the alignment is? Might just be down to a disgruntled employee....the last sort of people I'd want working on my car.

Basically I was looking for confirmation anywhere in the service manual that states it's ACTUALLY a step, on track cars we use a ratcheting tiedown to tie the steering wheel to the brake pedal so it doesn't accidentally move when making adjustments. However I'm not finding any official Nissan/Infiniti procedure about steps related to shop alignment so it's probably just at the discretion of the technician to actually check the steering wheel.
I'll have them straighten it when I come in for my complimentary oil change in a few weeks, they owe me for being cool about what happened today with the tech and take care of me anyways so I'm sure it won't be a problem.

Funny, I was thinking about doing the same thing. The durability of those plastic inserts is **** poor to say the least. Bad materials considering they are a huge wear item. I think I’ve replaced mine three times over the years...good thing is that I have plenty of extras to play around with now.
