it's official - i LOVE my art pipes
so today i finally got around to installing my art pipes i've had laying around the garage for the past month or so. i've had the megan v2 pipes on my car awhile now and they've been leaking and not sounding like i want. they were too loud for my taste.
this afternoon i went to my friends work place (he's a diesel mechanic with sooooo many tools) and took off the megan pipes. unsure of how the art pipes were going to sound, i went ahead and began putting them on. after everything was put back on i washed off and started to leave. when i started the car a huge smile appeared across my face. i couldn't believe how great my car sounded. it's perfect. exactly what i wanted. after running an errand with my wife i got in the car and decided to reset the ecu to see if the cel would trip. i took the drive home (approx 10-15 miles i guess) and so far the cel hasn't come on. hopefully it'll stay off. anyway, i would definitely recommend the art pipes to anyone that wants a nice sounding exhaust that isn't too loud. |
what mods do you have?? and ART pipe aren't suppose throw the SES
|
blacc is right. ART Pipes don't throw codes unless the o2 bung isn't spaced enough. proper install of the o2 sensors won't throw codes, ever.
they're def one of the few upgrades worth it's high price tag - especially for the performance gains it provides. |
Glad you love your ART Pipes Funnyscreenname! The way they're designed there's no way you're going to get the dreaded SES....engineered to work like all Motordyne's products!

sounds awesome! def gonna save up for the art pipes and the art exhaust system! sure they are cheaper out there but for me quality matters a alot! dont want to make the same mistake that i did when i first got my old 3.5 altima. i was so eager to mod that i did "inexpensive mods" which at the end i ended up taking off for quality ones anyway..
congrats on the purchase :) |
No such thing as art exhaust. Check out motordyne, thats what you want!
