Front and rear bumper advice/opinions

1 Attachment(s)
Hey,

Hoping to get some advice and have someone identify a bumper for me.

Does anyone know what exact bumper this one is? http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6040/6...6c7a4eb5_b.jpg

Any suggestions for a classy front bumper that would go well with this? I've scoured through a lot of them but haven't seen many I prefer to the stock front bumper though I do like the Kuruma Z.

And would I need to get different side skirts to remain flush or would the body be completely level with the oem side skirts?

Thanks a lot

Finding quality parts will be your largest hurdle for a while until our vendors get it together! I love my KurumaZ bumper but it does sit low, the other option that looks great is the Nismo bumper. You'll want to buy these in polyurethane, fiber glass won't survive the street. Once you get a front bumper then you'll need sides to match. (poly too) Rear bumper, I've heard/read poly sags so f/g might be a better choice there. Meanwhile we'll put everything on hold until the vendors get up and running again. BAUSauto w/b my first choice due to Eric's quality....Gary

i'd go with nismo front and impul sides

Oh damn there's a lot of snow here so that probably won't work. Looks really good with your Athens blue!

I had a fiberglass bumper survive for 4 years. Sold it in great shape.

Stop spreading lies.

That rear is the Strafespeed. Good luck getting one though. You can get a Chargespeed, which doesn't come with the vents on the side (and imo looks better).

Agreed Chargespeed looks slicker imo! Thanks

that bumper in the link is Chargespeed, i think its one of the most cleanest ones out there, the Kenstyle look over done to me, Nismo front bumper looks sleek too

Thats hotelcrazy's ride. it's a strafespeed (modified chargespeed).

I know, its so slick! I'm already getting the same taillights as hotel though, I don't wanna rip him off too bad lol

Stock rear > anything else

I agree. Stay with the stock rear.

I have a rear lip instead of rear bumper... it's all up to your personal preference. if you want that bumper, then get it.

To answer your question, a lot of bumpers and sideskirts sit at different heights.. It'll probably be a matter of trial and error, or a lot of forum searching for different bumper/sideskirt combos. My Top Secret (poly) front bumper actually sits a tiny bit higher than my authentic (fiberglass) Ings sideskirts. The front of the sideskirts right behind the front wheel are the lowest point on my car.

As far as poly vs. fiberglass, yes poly is more forgiving for the most part but I have both on my car.

paper mache bumpers are even better
