Looking at G35's....
 

Hey there! I have recently been looking into selling or trading my 90' Nissan 300ZX and was recently offered a 2003 G35 with an APS single turbo kit. I'm not overly knowledgeable about G35's or that specific kit so can anyone chime in on that turbo setup or how these cars react to a single turbo as far as reliability/drive-ability. The owner said it could use a tune (no big deal really) but other than that it looks clean with 105,000 miles on it.

A big question is if the engine as been rebuilt so it can withstand the turbo. And how well it's been rebuilt as well.
Specifically on our VQ35DE's. They're essentially a ticking time bomb after being TC or SC. If you have good mechanical knowledge to start with that's a huge plus since you can do some self diagnosis. Otherwise my honest opinion is don't waste your time with a potential time bomb.
