Need some confirmation for replacement parts
Hi, I need to replace my rear bumper cover. I have an 03 coupe. It looks like you can't get them pre-painted, so I assume I would need something like this:
http://www.carparts.com/details/Infi...PI760114P.html
And then just find a shop to paint it?
Also, what is the part for the large panel to the rear on the passenger side called? Quarter panel? The large part just behind the door, does anyone have a link for that? I am having trouble finding it.

Here's everything that comprises the bumper section.

Yes rear quarter panels are available, yes it will require a substantial amount of body work to replace and is probably not something you want to tackle yourself if you aren't familliar with body work. It's not necessarily HARD, it's just very time consuming.

Well those were dealership prices so yeah, a little spendy. If you have never done automotive paint before I would shop for a good shop in the area that won't gouge you, it requires some specialty equipment (hvlp sprayer and compressor) and there is an ART to painting that takes a few months to develop.

I didn't watch the vid, the problem with aerosol is a narrow and CIRCULAR fan of spray and the inconsistency of pressure. A skilled painter can make do with very little as long as you're willing to do a significant amount of sanding and polishing when you're finished. The hardest part would be getting an exact match for color.
If you're just doing this to turn around and sell that's completely different, I STRONGLY suggest contacting a local school trade center (if you have such things locally) that has an auto tech shop for students and ask if they can help you out. Most are looking for donor vehicles for students to practice on under the instruction of a supervisor and the work is typically -decent-

Wow great idea! I'll look around and have my fingers crossed. I unfortunately did a bunch of damage over time (I was a shitty owner honestly) mostly because of money. Now when I almost had everything patched up, I went and did more damage to it =/. Feel like at the rip old age of 34 I'm 10x worse driver than when I was 19.
