High engagement clutch?
 

I have an 04 sedan 6mt and I bought the car with an aftermarket oem clutch according to the previous owner.The previous owner had no trouble with the clutch but it’s getting pretty hard for me to get use to.The bite point is at the top almost close to releasing it all the way.Im getting pretty use to it but I buck a little from time to time.My brother and my dad drive my car sometimes and always have a hard time stalling because of the clutch engagement.Not sure if this normal for g35s since they are meant to be “sporty” I drive my brothers 99 maxima and 1st always engages smoothly the bite point is about 2 slow releases and the same applies to my dads 06 BMW it’s a very soft clutch as with mine is aggressive.

Have you bled the clutch at all?

There is a clevis pin adjustment on the top of the pedal but if you are going to make adjustments make very SMALL adjustments to it and drive for a while. When my first clutch was starting to get worn down a little I adjusted it to take up some of the slack, helped a ton. Don't adjust it so low that there isn't any extra pedal play though

Back in 2005 or so someone on this site sold a clutch pedal mod that was basically a couple of pieces of hard plastic with double stick tape that reduced the travel of the clutch before it hit its stop so that the overall throw wasn’t so long. This was a great mod. If you look at the back of your pedal assembly, you’ll see I think two places where they contact when fully depressed. If you just stick some bumpers there, it will reduce the travel and make for a much better experience. Just be sure you leave enough travel so that the clutch isn’t engaged at all when fully depressed. Without a doubt the best bang for the buck mod by far for the G! I hated my stock G clutch from day one.
