I won't be driving my G for a month.

So my question is that how often should I tell my roommate to start up the G
or should I just leave it for a month and start it up when I come back from the trip ?

Any input would be appriciated :)

You should be ok for a month

If you have your roommate start it, have them drive it around the block a few times to reach operating temperature. If anything, I would have the roomate drive it after two weeks. If they just start it and move it their really won't be any advantage to just letting it sit. Remember cars don't like to start up and shut off before they warm up.

Lint is over, you shouldn't do that to yourself! ;)

i wouldn't let anyone drive it while gone....just leave it for the month .....

If it's going to sit in the garage and there's not too many ppl going in there, I'd raise it off it's wheels. Just have it started once a week and let the engine run it for a few minutes.

Correction: Raise it so the wheels do not touch the ground

tires will not develop flat spots after only a month...

fill gas, pressure up tires to 39-40psi.
That's all you need to do.

don't start the car unless he takes it out for a minimum 15min spin. otherwise it will do more harm than good (condensation in the mid pipe)

all your roommate has to do is start is up, pull it out of the drive way, or if you live in an apartment, pull it out of the stall, down the drive way and back.
then it should be fine.

Whenever storing a car, just do that once a month, everymonth and its like driving it 3000 miles every 3 month ( as far as lubrication goes )

Make sure you either disconnect the battery or have someone run it to charge it up...these new cars usually end up draining batteries all the time.

I see it a lot on our new cars at the my dealership, brand new with dead batteries.

uh... its only a month.. throw a car cover on it and dont do anything to it.

i would just take the battery out and get a battery tenderizer....or trickle charger, whatever you want to call it.
