As We Say Goodbye to the G..lets welcome GSquad's Newest Addition

Well guys since 2003 I've been a faithful G35 driver. Started with my 03 Black Coupe where I waited three months for the car..anticipation like no other. At that point the G was just coming out and was literally one of the hottest cars out. No other like it..

Next in 2004 my parents picked up our first 04 G35X Sedan with the nismo kit. I did most of the driving with that car especially in the winters in which the g coupes are definitely not friendly.

In 2005 I couldn't take the heartaches of the black paint and got into a 2005 Diamond Graphite coupe. My original plans weren't to go as far as I did with this car but from a mod standpoint I went in hard. Up until a couple months ago I was under the impression that I would buy the car out from the lease and keep building it as a showcar. However, due to the leasing company not working with me on the buyout price and the variance compared to the actual market value I began to re-evaluate things. I still love the G35 Coupe shape very much.

Anyhow we also have a 2008 G35xS which is definitely an amazing car

So now I'd like to introduce the newest addition to G Squad

2008 BMW M3 - Interlagos Blue 6spd.
Fully loaded with the exceptions of the OEM 19's

This is my first German car, first non infiniti car in 6 years, and first stick vehicle. Its a totally different feeling not sure how to describe but still trying to get used to it. There a lot of features and technology is definitely there.

But in all fairness it wasn't the same feeling of excitment as when I picked up my first G in 03.

Of course I'll still be around on driver..i mean I've only been registered since 03 lol..

I will be adding pics to this thread to illustrate the above and I will ad a pic of the g returned to stock form. Sorry for the long write up.

great upgrade, and my favorite color! congratulations, you will grow to love that thing, in all honesty it is much easier to go from japanese to german than the other way around

Congrats on the car Vin..dont worry you'll still miss your G but you'll have more fun in the M3. What are your plans for the beemer?

VinNYCG Jan 29, 2009 08:00 AM

Thanks manbeer and dae. I guess the cold weather is part of the reason that I'm not fully enjoying the extent of this car yet. And yes Dae I'm gonna miss the sh*t out of the g..it was mad to take the parts off and get it back into stock form, I am pretty much set on type of wheel I want, suspension wise I'm not there yet..that's all the plans right now. Different species of car, not use to the mod world for this one yet.

Congrats Vin! Youll love the car. My brother has a 08 335i. Though its not the same, driving it is a completely different feel. It pulls like no other. Ive driven the M before and its a BEAST! Once you get on it, youll slowly start to forget about your G. haha

Nice, Love the color bro now we gotta see you drive it. We all know Vin doesn't really get on it. G-Squad has evolved.

The transmission in this car is great! I drove an 08 M3 as a test drive and man, when I got back in to my G, I was like this tranny sucks! LOL The clutch is much nicer.
