Grey Ghost for Sale 04.5 G35 Sedan

3 Attachment(s)
Moving to AZ - time to sell the Grey Ghost...

highly modified 04.5 Sedan... excellent condition - garaged all its life - not driven as daily driver for nine years (sits in garage driven less than 2K per year for last 9 years) original owner, 52K miles... $18K (will consider offers)

I realize there aren't many original members on this forum anymore and I don't spend time here anymore... but the car is well known by many that can vouch for its ability. I'm sorry, but due to time constraints associated with the move I wont have time for lookie-loos or non serious inquiries.

Additional photos in my user profile - lots more available... I have all records (maintenance, mods, etc)... all stock parts are included (OEM wheels, suspension, cams, headers, cats, exhaust, ring & pinion gears, air box, engine cover, and whatever else I'm forgetting - I have it all).

???

Don't get me wrong, the car looks great and all, but it's still an NA G35. It's no red light rocket

(Was that a D!ck joke?)

Glws..car looks amazing.

Hey Mike

A little birdie told me about this thread :)

Good luck on the sale and move to AZ. Hopefully you'll link up with Tim and drink lots of his favorite beers ;)

Take it easy!

Great condition car. Mint! Although the dyno numbers seem low for a cammed/ header g35 I see it is an 04' auto but still

I don't take it to the track these days - but it holds its own... time permitting, I'd be happy to meet anyone interested in competing on road course or drag (Fontana or Willow Springs)... It has never lost to any NA VQDE coupe or sedan AT or manual... I've been out of the scene for a while, so I don't know whos got what these days - but I'm confident in the cars ability and would happily challenge.

Somrthng to consider when comparing dyno numbers... they vary widely. So unless you are comparing on the exact same machine (prefeable same day so conditions are the same), then the numbers mean nothing.

This car was purposefully built... literally to be able to hit a car show, road course, drag strip and to Vegas with three passengers... it does all very admirably. Initially the plan was to go FI - but attention has been on other things the last several years and I'm not interested in building the car any further... it's a good base for FI though if someone was so inclined...

It's lighter than most sedans (and all coupes) that aren't gutted... primarily because it has no sunroof, wheels and breaks are lightweight and body mods were done with weight considerations... plus I purposely never added any pig heavy ancillary items.

I'm not here to brag about the car... but I'd happily show its ability to anyone that thinks their NA VQDE could beat it (trust me, there have been faster cars than yours that haven't)

these vids were prior to body work and Racing Brakes - but engine and exhaust was the same... there have been others, these are the only two with vid... I won't name the two car owners - but they were prominent forum members here with known fast cars.

thanks Chris... looks like some of the noobs aren't familiar with history here :D

I'm very excited about the move - and spoke with Tim the other day... I'm sure we'll get together when I'm out there... Maybe we'll set up Sedan All Stars part ___ (I don't even know what year you guys are on with that meet)... :p

LOL Yeah....sure isn't the good ole days anymore. I've been off of here for years now too. Just came on to wish you luck in your new ventures!

That'd be great. You can always ride shotgun with Tim ;) on the way over to GTG VIII (hopefully it happens this year) and we can all make the trip.

sick_sixspeed 04-12-2016 07:10 PM

The reason I spoke up about your dyno numbers is because I am also tuned by church and I don't have cams or headers but I put down higher numbers than your sedan that's why I was interested

ScraggleRock 04-12-2016 07:16 PM

I by no means meant any disrespect, and I'm sure it is certainly quite capeable, I was simply saying it's still an NA VQ. Not that it wouldn't take other VQs from a dig, i just felt that it wouldn't be a complete mauling (drivers being equal) the way tyke kind of implied; plus I wanted to make a d!ck joke. This is the one time I for real wasn't trolling. Haha

I absolutely love the car.

I haven't been to Shawns shop in a while, but one of two offices I work out of is right around the corner... for sh!ts & giggles Id be happy to take the car there and get on the same dyno same day with your car... other than that, please see response below...

no offense taken at all - I have no skin in the game here and actually couldn't care less about the scene anymore... just wanted to clear up the misnomers.

Internet racing is for kids. If anyone wants to test the cars ability I'm happy to get it done. I do have time constraints though since I'm preoccupied with a major change in life... but I'm not really interested in the internet banter... so lets leave the talk aside. Im open to meeting at Church's (if he's still there) or the track (time permitting) - send a PM... beyond that, I'm not addressing the internet racing posts any further - and would appreciate it if you kept it out of the thread.

All posts after this will be relating to sale of the car.

Thank you.

Good luck with the sale. Great build and I remember the progression of your build. Seeing the Kurookie bumper, I am regretting not ever putting on my original Kurookie bumper when I bought it years ago. It is still sitting in my garage.
