Re: Lights - the final answer!
RedRok, I wanted the same info from Afropuff. He said that the CATZ ZETA system for his fog lights work really well. I usually spotted some CATZ ZETA systems for sale on eBay but I just searched eBay and none are available. =(
I think I am going to save my pennies for the Hella Micro DE Xenon Driving Kit that "ananymous" just had installed on the front spoiler of his car, as the light output is outstanding.
Here, I just found this, you can purchase the Catz Zeta Kit for $200 at this site:
http://www.extremeredline.com/lights...z_zeta_kit.htm
I think I am going to give it a try...when I get my car back, that is. =(<P ID="edit"><FONT class="small"><EM>Edited by MrElussive on 10/12/03 10:08 PM.</EM></FONT></P>

Re: Lights - the final answer!
I just ordered some generic 4 bulb and 6 bulb LED wedge bulbs for my coupe. The wattage should not be a problem at all, and these are likely the brightest bulbs you can place in 168/194 slots. My only concern is whether or not the bulb will actually fit into the clearance housing. Will keep everyone updated.

Re: Lights - the final answer!
Actually, there is talk that those LED cluster bulbs don't produce enough light ouput as compared to some regular bulbs. For the wedge bulbs, i don't think it matters, but I do know that for the reverse lights and front turn signals, there aren't any LED bulbs that match the output from the factory bulbs.

Re: Lights - the final answer!
I know...this thread is missing some discussion on HID bulb replacements!
who's got 6000k and 8000k bulbs in their lowbeans? I'd really like to know where you got your bulbs from. as the only place I've seen is ebay, and I dunno if I really trust those people =P

as far as HID bulb replacements go, I got this link from freshalloy:
http://suvlights.tripod.com/suvlight...enon-Bulbs.htm
here's the thread with pics:
http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthre...b=5&o=&fpart=1
they look pretty nice... but at around $250 per pair a little pricey...

Hey Rashman, are these the same as the Ultinon Philips D2R's from here? Can you get the 6000K's also? How much for a pair? Thanks

Hey you want the to upgrade to the better color HID's well i have you answer. The bulb number is D2R.
Our cars dont have Xenons, they have HID's. If you go on the net you will find 8000 K bulbs for 150 to 170 for EACH bulb.
I can get everyone the Philips 8000K D2R bulbs for $130. This price includes tax and shipping. So let me know guys if your interested. GO ahead and pm if your interested.

Re: Lights - the final answer!
Ok, I have a question about regular bulbs vs. LEDs. I am wondering which will be brighter and closer to the color of the OEM low beams, the PIAA Super White LED 168 wedge bulb, or PIAA Super Plasma 168 wedge bulb (or a different PIAA 168 bulb for that matter)? I know pictures can definitely be misleading, and obviously the flash and other camera settings are doing so in these pics, but I just wanted to know if anyone had seen them both in person.
PIAA Super White LED (in clearance strips):
PIAA Super Plasma 4300K (in clearance strips and corner markers):

Re: Lights - the final answer!
i think by the picture (though maybe misleading) the plasma's look more like the xenon. I couldn't really say though.
But i'm thinking I might just try the plasmas to see cuz the white/white PIAA xtreme white LEDs are a little too blue still for me
