Exclamation

lol..can i elaborate in this subject a sec here...

haha i always wanted 2 say that....

n e way...it was me that he was messing with...the only wrong thing he said was that he raced me and had me....he did only because he took off before me and i caught up to him and almost went thru him...~~~please this was on a closed course obviuosly ....put the flame throwers away~~~ k back to the story....he took off before me and had bout 3 cars on me then i down shifted and took off and it was kind of wierd b/c i was ripping it thinking he was gunna tear me up...then all the sudden im up his a$$....on n off the gas like i was racing a ford probe.....lol..sorry had 2 do it...yo not sayin it 2 be a *****...but it wwasnt even close if i stayed on the gas i would of had my AEM filter in his pants...lol....

my only mods are AEM, stillen grounding kit, and apex mufflers with all stock exhuasst also rolling on 20's, 6mt....

his mods are i believe: nismo cold air, gordgee 10 wire grounding kit, crawford plenum, pro 1 headers, y pipe, 5at and he has 19's....

are the autos really that slow??

ohh and if we went from a 1st gear roll i would of pulled on him by like 3 cars guaranteed...i really think there is something wrong...possible wrong lines hooked up somewhere??? or crawford plenum might not be good for that motor....i dont know tho...im clueless....haha n e help im clusterfucdged as well...

While driving against your friend, you were cutting the air, so it all comes down to aerodynamics.

either you need a tune and are running super lean up top and/or your y-pipe is killing you (with the stock catback it will do nothing but hurt)

how is a y pipe hurting my performance. its just a little bit better then the oem one. what do u want me to get straight pipes or go true dual i think that will really hurt my performance. Y pipes dont do anything to ur car if anything they give u .0001hp lolol

y-pipes (whether or not paired with stock/aftermarket headers and hfcs) showd nothing but down/mid losses and minimal uptop gains with the stock catback. too muc flow is a bad thing...stock y-pipe is more than fine w/ stock catback.

I think you just need a air flow converter, i have an apexi S-AFC2 and its awesome. I take it in and XAT racing dyno tunes everything that has to do with your air intake to match your ecu. The after market air intake i actually heard doesnt make you gain any ponies due to the ecu not allowing any more air in pass factory. Alot of people have trouble with after market air intakes so maybe your air flow sensor is having problems....

I would chuck the Y-Pipe, ensure your plenum bolts are tightened to the correct torque (very carefully, easy to snap) and stick with the stock cats. Headers help the scavaging effect in the exhaust system, when headers are tested, they are usually tested with the stock catback and y-pipe, unless specifically sold as a package by the manufacturer along with headers.
Heres my saying:

"If no turbo and TOO much flow you lose some go!"

where can we get those 3.53 gears at?? Did you run a 1/4 mile before and after? was it any better or no? please explain some of the gears to me, i dont really understand gear ratios so it would be cool if someone could explain them to me...!

1st 3.540 11.887
2nd 2.264 7.603
3rd 1.471 4.940
4th 1.000 3.358
5th 0.834 2.801
final 3.358

^ what does all this mean basicly and why would i be better off with 3.53 gears?
