Anyone know where to buy these things from? I've tried Google and haven't been able to find anything.

Recently installed the 10 wire kit, idles lower, seems to accelerate smoother and definitely shifts smoother. Checked the gas mileage last night and since the ground kit install average mpg is up about 1.3 MPG's (no material change in driving style, just daily driver stuff). If you have a 5AT, get the 10 wire set.

I know Gordee experimented with up to 14 wires, but so no big improvement over the 10. Furthermore, he does offer an 'ST' version of the kit (as well as an ST for fewer wires) that allows you to run a shorter wire to the transmission tunnel. This way you don't need to get under the car for the final wire. Not at the most advantageous grounding point, but with the total package one should be very pleased with the results.
Copper has less resistance than gold, although gold does not corrode over time.
But with good solid connections, and wires that are plated against corrision, you should have no problems at all.
I plan to order mine next week when Gord should be heading back home.
