what's this dark maroon, liquid leaking from my battery posts?
 

I was working on my car today and notice that as if my hands were covered in red ink... i found out its all over my battery's +/- posts terminals.... and some on top of my battery... not sure what this is... anyone know?

battery acid, get that sh!t off your hands, its terrible for your skin, causes cancer.

LOL, it's an anti-corrosive grease. Harmless.

so which one is it? battery acid? or grease?

if so, is it suppose to be leaking like this? or is this normal?
