ok can someone answer this

ok i have an 05AT and seen the infiniti stock intake set up so my question is would or is there a differnce between an CAI or just droping in K&n or amsoil replacement filter. it may be a noob question but.

TURBOTOM 09-01-2006 01:05 PM

i say go with the stillen, but some people preffer a drop in filter.

Calvin 09-01-2006 01:20 PM

id say stillen. i wish i got that but since i already have the k&n screw it..

zeroscythe 09-01-2006 01:23 PM

the problem with just using the drop in filter and thats it is that ur still will have the stock resonator which reduces intake noise and also restricts the air flow into your engine... if u wanna just go with the k&n get a z-tube to fix this problem and ur set, or if u wanna go all out go with a CAI or some sort, Stillen and Injen are both good

^^^^what he said

DaVince 09-01-2006 02:05 PM

So with the Z tube your intake will sound louder?

abcquackyxyz 09-01-2006 02:12 PM

a lil lounder

DaVince 09-01-2006 02:13 PM

But it improves airflow, therefore more power?

how much hp gain are we talkin about it? significant enough?

abcquackyxyz 09-01-2006 02:15 PM

well not like a noticible difference but it sounds nice. i am not sure but some claims say 6hp but i mean hearing that might make you feel like a placebo effect.
