Re: Before my G35 Coupe... this was my pride and joy
I know what you mean about the noisy driveshaft and rear end...I had done searches on that on ls1.com and I think a lot of us had those issues.
My biggest problem with the car was the fact that you pay all that money and 36k miles later you are screwed if anything goes wrong...and of course it does. Also the depreciation hit is REALLY bad.
I intend to keep the g for a long time...but I could see getting an ls1 again for occationaly t-tops off cruising later on. All that power is fun to play with now and then but just not nessesary for everyday driving. Maybe a ws6 ta...they had a lot of those around toards the end of f-bod run...

2001 F250 V-10 Crewcab
The G will only be able to dream about driving in stuff like this. Will miss this pickup greatly over the next few months...

Re: Before my G35 Coupe... this was my pride and joy
"I miss my old ride too...right up until it's time to smog that thing! Over 475 rwhp (supercharged 383), that would have me sideways in 2nd gear on a 40 mph roll!"
Gaklid: That's funny. I had a supercharged 1994 Z-28 with a built 355. (I didn't go 383, but it put out around 600 crank h.p.)
It was cool, but a whole different league of machine. It was fun being able to smoke the tires in almost any gear and I know what you mean about the smog checks.

Re: Before my G35 Coupe... this was my pride and joy
Wow...so many former f-body owners. It makes sense though...short of the 'vette which is too expensive for some of us gm didn't leave us with any good rwd alternatives.
I wonder how many of us would have still gotten the g35c if gm made the new gto good looking...
