haha nah I never made it that far. I have another question for when my new mirror comes in. Do you connect the leds on the other side of the circuit board? Other side as in the reverse side of my pictures i posted?

na u know the black thing the plug.. under the plug there is like 4 lil metals that connect to the whole thing right... connect the leds to those...

^haha DANGIT! I was on the right track.but it's more like 8 lil wires haha it's all good. What did you use to connect them? Did you solder them to it? And my LEDs are registered for 10-14 volt range. Is it not going to blow the bulbs?

no i dont think it will blow but i connect my with two lil wires and thats it.. if u have any questions feel free to ask

if / when i get my car back ill do a diy for this. - is easy to find its the + that we need. never use a test light. aways use a dmm!!!

what leds did you get? are you puttin a resistor on them as well??

alright
the wire coming into the honelink mirror that carries the +12 is the black/pink wire. the ground is the black wire.

just find the pin that the black pink wire connects to on the circuit board and grab your power there, and do the same for the ground wire

from the diagram you can see that you can have them on all the time or only when the car is on. i would go with only when the car is on. too bad there isnt and illum wire up there so that they woudl only come on when the lights are turned on.

the b/p wire is in pin 6 of the harness, and the b wire is in pin 8. both of these are found in the r7 harness.

yours already have the resistor in them all you need to do is connect them.

connect the red ends to the b/p pin and the black ends to the b pin on the inside of the connector.

has anyone done this with a double din kit??
im thinking about doing it but i think that it will cause a lot of glare onteh screen at night time.

has anyone else dont this yet at all?
