"G's" scratched on the Lot
 

What is up with this? Everytime I have gone to my local dealership I look at the coupes and everyone has a nasty deep scratch in the paint....is this normal or is the dealership just lazy? Anyone else notice this?

Mine had that when it came off the truck and I freaked...ended up being residue from the protective coatings they use while shipping. It all came off in the detailing process. Unless it really is a deep scratch, but the residue can look a lot like a scratch.

I'll 2nd what Nate said. That residue has the look and feel of a scratch. It does come off though.

Yea the residue was on every new car, it comes off.

Mine had deep scratches that I hadn't noticed until the next day after picking it up. After trying to color sand them out, they ended up having to repaint the entire rear and left side of the car. Looks great now..
